Researchers from the KNOWSKITE-X team recently presented cutting-edge work at the European Materials Research Society (EMRS) Spring Meeting 2026 in Strasbourg, one of Europe’s leading forums for materials science innovation.
Silvia Carlotto presented research titled “Deciphering the Cu–Perovskite Interface for Enhanced Environmental Catalysis: A Multiscale Journey from Atomistic Mechanisms to Engineered Nanocatalysts” within the symposium on “Engineered nanomaterials for energy and environment: from synthesis to applications.”
The presentation explored the fundamental mechanisms governing copper-doped perovskite interfaces at the atomistic level, connecting atomic-scale insights to the design of practical nanocatalysts for environmental and energy applications. This work directly supports KNOWSKITE-X’s mission to develop advanced perovskite-based electrode materials with enhanced catalytic performance and environmental sustainability.
The research was co-authored by Jonathan Cavazzani and Antonella Glisenti, strengthening the project’s contributions to understanding how material composition and interface engineering drive the performance of next-generation energy conversion devices.
Participation in high-impact international conferences like EMRS reinforces KNOWSKITE-X’s position at the forefront of European research on sustainable materials and clean energy technologies.
