Last week, KNOWSKITE-X presented its solution to the data workflow challenges in materials modelling and characterization. The Know Center team, led by Franz Rohrhofer, introduced the new KNOW Data Platform (KDP) during an internal webinar—an important step toward a unified and FAIR data ecosystem that seamlessly connects characterization, modelling, and trustworthy AI in materials science.
The new KNOW Data Platform:
- Integrates data from diverse sources by bringing together experimental, characterization, and simulation data in one place
- Implements FAIR data principles, making data findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable across all partners
- Accelerates model development by providing machine learning resources directly connected to the platform’s data
- Fosters collaboration by enabling researchers and engineers to share, reuse, and co-develop data assets within a common environment
By offering a robust foundation for scalable, transparent, and AI-ready materials innovation, the KDP will strengthen data-driven research across the consortium and beyond.
